(3) Squaring Off
I am supposed to be doing any number of things–researching, writing, working on my assistantship project–but I’d much rather keep working on last Sunday’s New York Times crossword puzzle. I’m about 3/4 done as of now, but the clues that are left are (of course) the extra-frustrating ones. I tried to find the puzzle online so you too could work on it (the theme is “The Football Fan”), but crosswords on the Times’ website apparently require subscription.
I wish I had a better offering for day 3, but my camera battery was on its last legs, and, as my charger seems to have wandered off (tomorrow is Epic Quest For The Charger Day), I went ahead and grabbed this shot while I could.
(2) Baby, It's Cold Outside
Didn’t want to leave my house this morning to go up to campus…so I lazed around till the afternoon. I walked outside to find that most of my neighbors had had the same thought I did; half the cars in the lot still had snow covering them and icicles dripping down off their fronts. In related news, I wonder how many different pictures I can make of things I find within 100 feet of my apartment.
(1) Sunday Details
Jumping on the bandwagon of the 30 Days, 30 Pictures project that Vivian and David Rees’ Picture Story class are working on. I’m starting this because a) I’m not shooting much at all this semester, since I’m writing a thesis, and b) it’s a great way for me to count down the days until I get my knee brace off.

That said, I’m very glad I’m not actually IN a shooting class this semester; while I have much (much) more flexibility in my left leg than I did even a week ago, it’s hard for me to make low-angle pictures and to climb around in order to get the best vantage point. Oh well. I’ll try my best!
Last week they didn’t bag it in blue, and I almost couldn’t find my New York Times. Crisis averted this week.
My parents sent me an Edible Arrangement for Valentine’s Day! Nom nom nom nom.
Columbia has started using salt instead of cinders to melt away snow.
